Suggested Resources for Grandparents:

My grandchild loves music and “never stops”. There are many commercial CD’s and DVD’s that focus upon early childhood, actually teach motion and incorporate games, such as: Kimbo Records Georgiana Stewart’s Choo, Choo to the Zoo, Rhythm Stick Rock, Moving with Mozart, Bean Bag Activities and Coordination Skills, Circle Time Activities.

My grandchild is always in a trance in front of the TV. There are many public, private, and non-profit organizations that provide interactive programs for children and their caregivers, such as, Jacob Burns Film Center AnneMarie Santoro’s See, Hear, Feel, as well as, digital story and animation creation activities done with caregivers. Don't forget Public Libraries and Book Stores.

My grandchild has special needs!  There are many organizations that provide parents, grandparents and caregivers of  “differently-abled” children with helpful background information, educational techniques, books, materials, tips and activities, such as, Autism Speaks, Association for Metroarea Autistic Children, Council for Exceptional Children, Foundation Fighting Blindness.
